Meet Our Team
Lauren Windham Cowgill (right), owner of Windham Event Design, started planning and designing weddings for friends and family while at FSU for Interior Design. While working as a designer, she realized what she loved most about design was creating a concept that truly represented her client’s vision. An opportunity to coordinate a destination wedding in the Bahamas for a colleague changed everything. She couldn’t resist the chance to start her own business developing and creating beautiful weddings, events and interiors.
My philosophy on design has many facets. I try to create my client’s vision from even the smallest inspiration. A color, a flower, a torn picture from a magazine, whatever it may be. Even the most limited budgets can benefit from an inspiration. It’s all in the application. Having a design concept will keep you focused on the finished product. Using elements and principles of design, a space can be transformed to give you a tangible vision of your design concept.
Wendy Windham Hatcher:
A great design is only as good as the team that helps put all of the details in place. Wendy Windham Hatcher, my beautiful sister, has always been part of my success in building WED. Wendy is now a wonderful addition as my Day of Coordinating director. Together we bring all of the details of your day to life along with a talented team of ladies (and gents!). While i am putting finishing touches on the reception, Wendy is there to make sure you are prepared for your trip down the aisle. Her personality and smile are sure to put even the most nervous bride at ease!
